Deepak Stephen
Director, Co-founder
Deepak brings 22 years of financial services experience to Meridian 77, bridging the gap between advanced data analytics and institutional deal execution. As Director and Global Head of Data Science at Acuity Knowledge Partners (formerly a Moody's subsidiary), he incubated and scaled a 200-person global data science division across 5 countries, delivering bespoke analytics to bulge-bracket banks, M&A advisory firms, and Tier-One buyout funds. Previously, at Genpact, he operated buy-side mandates—driving deal screening, execution, and portfolio analysis embedded within a $20bn PE firm and a mid-market buyout firm. Having led 50+ enterprise-level front-office mandates, Deepak combines high-finance workflows and analytics to deliver top-line impact. He holds an MBA in Finance from EMPI Business School.
Shankar Shivakumar, CFA
Director, Co-founder
Shankar brings 22 years of institutional finance and data strategy experience to enterprise capital markets clients. He serves as the firm's functional architect, guiding investment banks and alternative asset managers through complex data integration and algorithmic execution. As Director of Corporate Strategy at Acuity Knowledge Partners (formerly a Moody's subsidiary), he built and scaled cross-functional data teams for Tier-1 global hedge funds and bulge-bracket banks. Shankar's career spans the full spectrum of front-office finance, including roles in M&A advisory, private equity deal execution, and active portfolio management. In addition to designing and deploying over 12 proprietary investment strategies across U.S. and Indian markets, he has served as a technical trainer for incoming investment banking analyst classes. He holds an MBA in Finance from ICFAI Business School and is a CFA® charterholder.
Madhu Kumar
Senior Advisor, AI and Technology
Madhu brings 35 years of Digital Transformation and Technology Consulting leadership to enterprise clients. As the Founder and CEO of Amadis, he guides organizations through cloud technology adoption and large-scale digital change, combining deep industry expertise with a practical, hands-on approach. Previously, as Executive Vice President at Hexaware Technologies, he led global transformation initiatives, P&L growth, M&A integration, and capital raising across international markets. Named one of the Top 30 Most Innovative Business Leaders in the US (Insights Success, 2017), Madhu began his career as a Research Scientist with the Department of Atomic Energy (India) before transitioning to IT services leadership. He holds a Master's degree in Marketing Management from JBIMS and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from National Engineering College.
